I am very proud of this necklace. This is the first piece of jewelry I took time to plan and think out besides my earrings.
Whether or not this is an original design is up to you. I saw this gorgeous fire opal necklace inside one of my beading magazines, and decided that I really wanted to try and make it. My version uses only swarovski crystal and random glass beads.. so there's the first difference. After I finished it, I went back and looked at the one in the magazine. I guess it would be ok to say that I did design most of it since I only used the original as the inspiration. Mine uses a different technique, more chunky beads, the black beads, silver chain/head pins/clasps, and is a lot brighter.
