Little Red Riding Hood

I designed and made this for Halloween this year (2009). Since I went as Alice for Halloween last year, I decided to keep the fairy tale thing going, and went with Little Red.

I patterned and constructed the entire garment myself (rectangle faced neckline, bell sleeves, gathered skirt, and capelet with hood attachment), constructed it all out of casa satin and some really lovely printed cottons, made 2 big bows to attach to the front of my hood and on the back of my waist, ruffled a ton more fabric and attached some pom poms for sheer cuteness. Overall, this costume took me 2-3 days to construct which equals about 20 hours of solid work.

I think I'll be entering this into a Halloween costume contest here. Should be fun.
